The fixtures have yet to be announced by NZ Rugby.
“We play each other twice in July, straight after the Super Rugby final, like two weeks after that final,” Rennie said. “We play them in Auckland and Christchurch.”

The Springboks faced the All Blacks at Eden Park last year, suffering a 24-17 defeat.
A Christchurch Test would be the Boks’ first in the city since 2016 and their first appearance at One NZ Stadium (Te Kaha).
The two matches could serve as a preview of a potential World Cup quarter-final between the world’s top two-ranked teams in Australia later in 2027.

“We’re going to play them a lot leading into the World Cup and I think their side may look a tad different, but I think the nucleus will be the same and how they play the game, I think it’ll still be pretty similar,” Rennie said.
“And [we’re] likely to meet in a quarter-final if both teams win their pool, which is odd, but the way it is.”

Pirates youngster Padime responds to showboating criticism
Orlando Pirates wonderkid Mpho Padime has defended his showboating style of play.
The youngster, who was recently promoted to the senior Buccaneers squad from the DStv Diski Challenge, has come under scrutiny from critics, former players and his own coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou, regarding his showboating.
Speaking after Pirates’ win over La Cure Waves in the CAF Champions League at the Orlando Amstel Arena last month, Ouaddou said he would not accept showboating in his team.
“If we want to win the Champions League and go far in the competition, we have to be serious and stop this thing of showboating because it does not help the team but the ego of whoever is doing it. As a coach, all I want is goals, and nothing more. If the players want to showboat, they can do it, not with me here,” said Ouaddou.
Responding to the criticism during a South Africa Under-23 national team camp in Pretoria, Padime explained that trickery on the ball is entirely natural to him.
‘I grew up in ekasi’
Padime stated that showboating happens instinctively rather than deliberately, saying his style comes naturally from growing up in the township watching Kasi football.
“Well, I would like to change, but sometimes, things like that just happen naturally, you know. I grew up watching showboating most of the time. I didn’t grow up watching European football,” Padime explained.
“So, I grew up in ekasi [township], watching the boys dribbling. So, even when I’m on the playing ground, showboating is not something that I do deliberately; it just happens because it’s within me.”
Padime added that while expressing himself on the field is part of his footballing identity, he understands the importance of adapting to the coach’s instructions.
“I love playing my football and expressing myself. But I also understand that at this level you have to listen to the coach and do what the team needs,” commented Padime.
Commenting on adapting to life at the senior team at Pirates following his promotion from the DDC team, Padime said being around experienced players has provided valuable lessons.
“It’s very motivating. Being around players at this level pushes you to improve. You learn different things every day, and it motivates you to keep working and take your football to another level.”
NBA legend Jordan ‘Last Dance’ jersey sells for Sh1.6 billion
LONDON, United Kingdom, Oct 1 – A Michael Jordan jersey from his ‘Last Dance’ season has sold for Sh1.6 billion ($12.3m), a record for a piece of Jordan memorabilia.
The jersey was worn in game three of the 1998 NBA Finals in his last season with the Chicago Bulls.
Jordan helped the Bulls win the series 4-2 for his sixth and final NBA Championship. He was named Finals’ Most Valuable Player in all six.
The previous record for a piece of Jordan memorabilia was Sh1.3 billion ($10.1m) for his jersey from game one of the 1998 Finals.
The jersey was put up for sale by entrepreneur Ryan Gough and sold at Joopiter, Pharrell Williams’ digital auction house, which gave it an estimated price of $10-15m (£7.5-£11.3m).
Jordan’s 1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello was sold for Sh350 million ($2.7m) (£2m), four times the auction record for that model.
“Few objects in the history of sport embody greatness as completely as Michael Jordan’s game three jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals,” Joopiter said in the auction posting.
“Worn during the Last Dance… it marks the culmination of an era that transformed basketball into a global cultural phenomenon.
“Today it stands among the most important game-worn sports artifacts ever to come to market.”
The record price for a piece of game-worn sports memorabilia is the jersey worn by baseball legend Babe Ruth when he “called the shot” during the 1932 World Series, which was sold for $24.1m (£18.2m) in 2024.
