Stokke expects even bolder All Blacks
Springbok assistant coach Mzwandile Stick expects Richie Mo’unga’s return to make the All Blacks an even greater attacking threat in Saturday’s series finale in Baltimore.
The Boks face a reshuffled All Blacks lineup in Baltimore on Saturday, with the tourists desperate to draw the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series 2-2. orlando-books.blog
Coach Dave Rennie made significant changes for the crunch fourth Test, with Richie Mo’unga starting at flyhalf, Josh Moorby back on the wing and Anton Lienert-Brown at outside centre.

Stick admitted the coaching staff anticipated the shake-up.
“We know Richie Mo’unga is world-class. As the coaching staff, we expected that selection. Even Ruben Love, the way he’s been playing as an upcoming star, he’s been great for the All Blacks,” Stick said.
“They will be even more bold tomorrow when it comes to keeping the ball alive and trying to use the space in the wider channels, and we know how dangerous he is.
“We’ve played against him many times, and we’ve done our homework. The key thing for us is that we enforce our game onto them and ensure that we pitch up physically on the day.”

The Boks hold a 2-1 series lead but know New Zealand’s quality means there is little room for error.
“We’ve seen in the past three games that if you’re not at your best, they’ve got what it takes to punish you because of the quality of players in their team,” Stick said.
“If you look at the outside centre position, they have a guy like Anton Lienert-Brown with his experience.
“It is a world-class team; we know they’re desperate to level the series, but in the same breath we want to make sure that we keep on making our people back at home proud, so we’ll give our best.”

Stick, who has been involved in some of the Boks’ biggest matches in recent years, says nothing compares to the demands of this series.
“In my experience, it doesn’t get tougher than this; it’s like playing four World Cup finals in four weeks,” he said.

‘The Robertson Express showed something’
Speedster Lleyton Davids, “fearless” Dylan Miller and wunderkinds Markus Muller and Olly Reid have helped put the Stormers in a good position, according to John Dobson.
The Stormers boss was speaking on Friday post-match at Paarl’s Faure Street Stadium, where the hosts lost 38-26 to the Bulls in a pre-season north-south derby.
Davids (25) scored the Stormers’ second of four tries, demonstrating his acceleration and pace that saw the Bolander go viral prior to his maiden outing.

“‘The Robertson Express’ showed something. He showed some glimpses,” Dobson said. “If Louw Nel had drawn the opposing defender in, he [Davids] scores another one.
‘I thought that pass behind Xola Nyali [in the first half] was brilliant. If Xola had stayed outside, we were over again.
“I thought he overachieved … that sounds like he’s redlining – he was better than I thought he was going to be. I think there’s something really there.”
ICYMI: Dobbo upbeat despite Kolbe blow
The lanky Davids’ fluid stride and athletic background has drawn comparisons to US Sevens icon Perry Baker, yet it’s his efforts under the high ball that caught Dobson’s eye.
“He’s very confident there. He’s a triple jumper. I’m quite excited about him.”
Fullback Miller, who had impressed for the Stormers XXIII in the Currie Cup, bagged a brace of tries as well as getting stuck in off the ball.

“He’s so tough, he’s absolutely fearless,” Dobson said. “How was that tackle on [centre] Stravino Jacobs? I think he’s special.
“He didn’t make the SA U20 [this year] but we think he’s going to be a star, mainly because he’s so fearless in his attitude. Ja, he’s not scared of anything, is he?”
Reid contributed to a penalty try against a formidable Bulls pack, while fellow Junior Springbok Muller – the youngest ever Stormer – worked tirelessly on defence and attack.

“Olly’s a good player. I know [Gerhard] Steenekamp and Jan-Hendrik [Wessels] are with the Boks but to put that front row under pressure like that was excellent,” Dobson said.
“We’ve still got Wilco Louw, Zach Porthen, Ntuks [Ntuthuko Mchunu]; we’re in a good position.
“We expect a schoolboy star like Markus is going to be like Danie Gerber and run through everybody, but it’s different stuff – it’s decision-making, physicality, work rate … He’s extraordinary.”

On this day: England win the Ashes for the first time in 16 years
On 12 September 2005, England secured a draw in the fifth and final Test at The Oval to beat Australia 2-1 in the series and reclaim the Ashes for the first time in 16 years.
England needed only to survive the final day to win the urn. Kevin Pietersen, playing just his fifth Test, produced a match-saving 158, racing to his maiden Test century off 124 balls with 15 fours and seven sixes. His innings, alongside a supporting 59 from Ashley Giles, took England’s second innings to 335, and the match ended in a draw.
Andrew Flintoff, who took 24 wickets and scored 402 runs across the series, was named Player of the Series alongside Shane Warne, while Pietersen’s innings at The Oval is still regarded as one of the most significant in Ashes history.

- Constantine, stade Chahid Hamlaoui (21h00) : CS Constantine – ASO Chlef.
Matchs reportés :
- Tizi-Ouzou, stade Hocine Aït Ahmed : JS Kabylie – MC Alger.
- Béchar, stade du 20 août 1955 : JS Saoura – USM Khenchela.
