The MAC filed an appeal Tuesday after Michigan won 13-12 on a Hail Mary pass after replay officials added one second back on the clock, despite stadium and television clocks showing zeroes. Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher stated that replay protocol was not properly followed.
"Had the protocol been properly followed and the program-feed clock been used, no additional play would have been awarded, and Western Michigan would have won the game, 12-7," Steinbrecher said. The Broncos initially accepted the Big Ten's explanation that time remained on a separate replay system clock, but later reversed their position after further review. forumteam.blog
